Tim Bunting (Chairman)

Tim joined Balderton as a General Partner in 2007. He was previously a partner of Goldman Sachs where he spent 18 years. At Goldman, Tim held various roles including Global Head of Equity Capital Markets (2002 to 2005) and Vice-Chairman of Goldman Sachs International (2005 to 2006).

Patrick Derham

Patrick Derham has been Head Master of Westminster School since September 2014, after 13 years as Head Master of Rugby School.  After studying History at Cambridge he taught at Cheam and Radley before becoming Head Master of Solihull School in September 1996.

Patrick Smulders

Patrick Smulders is Managing Partner of Freshstream Capital.  He was previously Managing Director of TowerBrook. Prior to the formation of TowerBrook, Patrick was a Senior Managing Director at Soros Private Equity. Previously, he was a founding Partner and Managing Director at Doughty Hanson.

Robert Swannell

Robert Swannell was appointed a non-executive director of Marks & Spencer in October 2010 and became Chairman in January 2011. Until 2010, Robert spent over 30 years in investment banking with Schroders/Citigroup. He was formerly Vice-Chairman of Citi Europe and Chairman of Citi’s European Investment Bank.
